Aging populations are becoming more diverse in terms of color, culture, identity, disability, and socio-economic standing. As a result, the need for culturally competent professionals and businesses that serve and provide products for older adults is increasingly important.

ASA has always focused on multiculturalism and diversity. Members and non-members alike cite ASA as leading the field in the education and training that addresses cultural awareness, sensitivity, relevance, and appropriateness in serving and providing products for older adults.

By fostering a diverse and inclusive community, ASA will ensure that its education, training and publishing programs remain culturally relevant.  Through the contributions of the LAIN and NOMA constituent groups and the New Ventures in Leadership program, ASA is able to share best practices and new innovations with a national audience.

We invite you to browse the articles on our blog, join the discussion forums, and explore our resources to learn about how ASA seeks to fulfill its commitment to inclusion and multicultural perspectives in its programming.
